Chime - Franny Billingsley
This book is a good book. It took a little bit for me to get into it. Briony is a witty, quirky, and has no emotions. She believes she is a witch because her stepmother told her she was. Her stepmother died and she thinks she killed her. She has so much guilt for that and what she believes she did to her sister Rose. Rose is very eccentric, she only like certain colors and counts steps to most of the places she goes. Briony take pretty good care of her. Eldric come to be in Swampsea and he seems to be drawn to Briony. He is hansom but she certainly doesn’t want to admit that. There are a lot of strange things that happen in the swamp and Briony begins to see what needs to be done to fix some of this. But all the while Eldric doesn’t want to believe that Briony is as wicked as she thinks she is. The further into the book the better it got. The mystery of Swampsea begins to unfurl and who Briony really is. It turned out to be a pretty good book, and I glad I kept reading.
