Review

Zara has successfully rescued Nick from Valhalla. But now evil pixies are all over Bedford reeking havoc. Zara is now the pixie queen, but is unsure of her role in that world. She has to somehow align her friends and the pixies to even have a chance at stopping an apocalypse. But this is not going to be an easy task, given all the prejudices between them. At the same time Zara has to deal with the growing felling she has for Astley. This picks up where Entice leaves off. You still have the rivalry between Nick and Astley over Zara. But Nick shows us a side that is not becoming at all. He has such anger toward Zara for saving him and is just plain mean to her. He can’t get past her being part pixie and especially the tie she has to Astley. Because of this she still questions her humanity and if she has a soul. Astley is amazing throughout all of this, he cares for Zara and would do anything for her. He helps her every step of the way to stop the war. How could you possible not love him? In this installment Zara’s friends show us what true friend should be by putting aside differences and working together to save everyone from a horrible end. Zara has come a long way through this series. She has grown up, and started focusing on new aspects of her life and what they mean. While embracing who she is truly is, she learns what true love is supposed to be and the one who loves her unconditionally. Zara shows a strength that is fantastic and inspiring. And a lot of loose ends are tied up and the story ends with some shocking revelations. While I am sad to see a series end, I am so happy that Zara has finally stepped up and embraced who she is and realized happiness and love are the best thing in the world. This series in all has a amazing plot with surprising twists and thrilling love triangles, with pixies and shapeshifters and more. There is really never a dull moment, and ending leaves you completely happy with everything, and I couldn’t more happy with the ending. I definitely recommend reading this entire series. It is fantastic. I sincerely hope to see more from Carrie Jones.
