Until I Die - Amy Plum
This is a sequel that certainly did not disappoint. We pick up where we left off in Die For Me. Vincent made a promise to Kate, that he would his nature impulse of sacrificing himself to save another, so that she didn’t have to watch him die over and over, because of what she went through with her parents death. This is a little easier said than done. They have this beautiful fairy tale romance, with picnics and going places that most people only dream of. Their relationship has become a little more grown up and intense, and with more passion. Vincent show us again how much he really does love Kate. Vincent is just the picture perfect knight in shining armor.Kate is still young, but has grown up quite a bit as well. We see her true strength through out this. She is determined to help find a way to help Vincent. Her love for him pure and strong. She is easy to relate to, and I just really enjoy her. Kate has maintained her relationship with her sister even through everything that has happened. They share a bond that is incredible. Georgia is spunky and doesn’t take any crap, and you can’t help but to like her. I also really enjoyed Jules too, he is so sweet and does really care for Kate and wants to protect her too. He wants her and Vincent to be happy. He goes along with her tactics to find a cure. Ambrose is great too, he is training Kate to protect herself. He act like a big brother, which is probably something she needs too. I did however miss Charlotte, we didn’t get to her much in this. Maybe the next one. There were a few new characters in this one. We have Arthur and Violette. They have a strange relationship to say the least. I’m not real sure how to explain it. He is quiet, but when he does talk he’s kinda grumpy. But there is something about him that makes you want to know more about him. Violette one the other hand is beautiful and very sociable. She always seem to be pleasant. They definitely have shaken things up.Until I Die was even more breath taking and utterly spellbinding than Die For Me. We learn so much about the Revenants and their history. There are so many things revealed, it makes you just admire the character even more. It is full of action, mystery and romance. The twist that takes place, made my stomach go in knots. This end with a cliffhanger that is painful, shocking and the so heart wrenching, you’ll definitely need tissues. This is a absolutely phenomenal sequel, and I can not wait for If I Should Die to come out next May. It just seems so far away. This is a must read for sure.
