Review

Lenzi is a complicated girl but I found her to be pretty likable. She has this great boyfriend who seems to love her very deeply, and yes they have their problems. But I did believe the feelings that Zak has for her. She’s terrified she is going to be like her father, and is sometimes very negative, don’t get me wrong I would probably be the same way if I found that I had the ability to help lost souls too. With Aldens help, Lenzi has to learn every skill to be a Speaker all over again because she doesn’t remember any of her past life. But Lenzi is anything but a weak little girl, over time she grows in her faith in what she is doing and what she is meant to be and her strength is amazing. Her character was one that I grew to really enjoy. She turned out be quite the heroine.Alden is so patient with Lenzi, and tries so hard to make her see her true strength and who she really is. He puts her first before everything else no matter what. He remembers Lenzi from their past life together and it is hard for him to see her with Zak, but he needs to see for who she is today. Alden is just an amazing guy, he listens to her, very rarely thinks of himself and and he does deeply care for her. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s gorgeous too. Zak wasn’t a bad guy at all, he helped Lenzi through a lot. He himself went through some rough stuff growing up and now his girlfriend is pulling away from him. You can’t help bet feels for him. Like I said before I did really feel that he cares for Lenzi.Of course when there is two amazing guys and one girl, you will definitely have some tension and jealously. Normally love triangles are not always that great, but this was done very was a pretty good well. You feel the love she has for both of them, and you find yourself wondering who she should pick too. I will say that I did really like the relationship between Lenzi and Alden, it grew over time, and was sweet. The whole story is haunting and captivating at the same time. Lenzi with her flashbacks to her past life to the way she was and how she was with Alden, to the lost souls and possessions to help them move on. I will say the ending wasn’t what I expected but boy it made it very emotional and left me want more. There are some creepy parts that keeps you on your toes too and I’m all for creepy. Over all this is full of romantic tension, loss, love and the discovery of ones self. It was a great first book in the Souls Series and I would definitely recommend this one.
