Review

This is the 5th book in the Soul Screamer Series. Of course every time that Kaylee even thinks that she just might have a normal week, it is anything but. And it seems Kaylee is going to face some decisions that are not going to be easy at all. This time around takes on us journey I didn't think we ever see. With the new teacher that all the girls are drooling over, Kaylee discovers that he isn't what he seems, but at the same time she also discovers some devastating new about herself. Kaylee is one of my favorite characters and this time was no exception. She has grown so much throughout this series, and she takes the time to think about everything in her life from her family, friends to Nash and Tod. Her growth into an independent young woman was enjoyable to follow. Yes, she goes through some horrible things, but it has made her to be a very strong heroine for me.The most heart breaking part of this is Nash. He has made some horrible decisions and now has to deal with consequences. I hope that in the future that he is going to gain some of the strength that he had at the beginning of this series. I have always been a fan of Tod's, and I was so excited for him in this. His sarcasm and banter with Kaylee has always been one of things that I have enjoyed. I have to say that for a Reaper he is definitely a charmer and a sweet guy. The one person that I haven't really cared for, came through for me this time around. Sabine....The world building was fantastic. From the incubus teacher and the horrible things he did, to Kaylee being the one in danger of the banshee scream. The characters were well developed and played a large role in the emotional aspect of the story. The ending... Oh my, I was not prepared for it at all. Needless to say. I can not wait for Before I Wake. Of which I will be starting soon. I need more Kalyee and Tod...If I Die was one of those books that I just didn't want to put down. It was an emotional, and heart breaking. If you are a fan of this series, it won't disappoint. This is an awesome series this is a must read.
