Anna Dressed in Blood - Kendare Blake, August Ross
Starting this, I thought we were going to hear Anna telling the story, but that wasn’t the case. the protagonist is male, and let me tell you, he was one impressive narrator.Cas has grown up in what I would call an unconventional family, and now following in the foot steps of his father, he now hunts and kills them. That is, up till he meets Anna. He takes his job very seriously. I really enjoyed all the sides to him. He was quite full of himself at times, but he had a softer side too. Anna, was truly terrifying, mysterious and beautiful. And learning what happened to her was horrible, and I couldn’t help but to feel sorry for her.Cas’ newly formed friendships with Carmel and Thomas was a wonderful additions to the story. Carmel was smart and could certainly take care of her self. Together they three of them made an amazing team. The world building was creepy and gave me goose bumps. There are mysteries and twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were very well developed and were just awesome. The writing was done with such vivid detail, it was creepy, and gruesome. Exactly what I want in a horror book.I would definitely recommend reading this one. Maybe not at night though. I will be reading Girl of Nightmares as soon as I can.
